Edu Hernández de Haro (Almería, 1982)
Mi fotografía no es solo un registro del paisaje, sino una búsqueda de lo que queda oculto a
simple vista. Crecí entre la luz volcánica de La Palma y la calidez de Almería, dos entornos que
me enseñaron a observar con paciencia. De ahí nace mi obsesión por encontrar belleza en los
detalles que otros suelen pasar por alto: una textura en una roca, una forma inesperada en el agua
o una pareidolia escondida en una corteza.
Aunque mi trayectoria dio un vuelco en 2012 tras un viaje a Islandia, mi evolución me ha llevado
a alejarme de la fotografía puramente descriptiva. Hoy, mi trabajo es una exploración en busca de
sensaciones. Utilizo técnicas como el Movimiento Intencionado de Cámara (ICM) y largas
exposiciones para que la fotografía evolucione hacia algo más próximo a la pintura, pero siempre
con una máxima innegociable: la imagen se crea íntegramente en la cámara.
Mi proceso es físico y directo; busco irme con la foto "hecha", rechazando la manipulación digital
posterior. En una época donde lo artificial parece inundarlo todo, apuesto por afinar la mirada in
situ, confiando en el azar controlado y en la honestidad de la toma original.
La curiosidad me ha llevado también al mundo del vídeo, donde he tenido la fortuna de lograr
varios premios internacionales con mi primer cortometraje documental.
Esa experiencia me ayuda a entender la imagen no como algo estático,
sino como algo que vibra y transmite una atmósfera. En definitiva, mi fotografía es mi
manera de entender el mundo: una invitación a detenerse, a mirar de otra forma y a descubrir que
la naturaleza tiene infinitas capas esperando ser desveladas.

My photography is not just a record of the landscape, but a search for what remains hidden from
the naked eye. I grew up between the volcanic light of La Palma and the warmth of Almería, two
environments that taught me to observe with patience. From this arises my obsession with finding
beauty in details that others often overlook: a texture on a rock, an unexpected shape in the water,
or a pareidolia hidden in bark.
Although my career took a turn in 2012 after a trip to Iceland, my evolution has led me away from
purely descriptive photography. Today, my work is an exploration in search of sensations. I use
techniques such as Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and long exposures so that photography
evolves into something closer to painting, but always with a non-negotiable principle: the image is
created entirely in the camera.
My process is physical and direct; I aim to leave with the photo "done," rejecting subsequent
digital manipulation. In an era where the artificial seems to flood everything, I choose to sharpen
my gaze in situ, trusting in controlled chance and the honesty of the original shot.
Curiosity has also led me to the world of video, where I have been fortunate enough to achieve
several international awards with my first documentary shortfilm.
This experience helps me understand the image not as something static,
but as something that vibrates and transmits an atmosphere. Ultimately, my photography is
my way of understanding the world: an invitation to stop, to look differently, and to discover that
nature has infinite layers waiting to be unveiled.
